Job Summary
We are a nationwide family of Continuing Care Retirement Communities looking for a Housekeeper. The purpose of this position is to provide campus services in cleaning and minor maintenance throughout the campus to meet the needs of residents and employees, ensuring facilities remain in good condition.
Responsibilities- Perform cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedule and departmental standards and infection control guidelines.
- Complete minor maintenance tasks including light bulb replacements, plunging toilets, and battery changes as needed.
- Maintain all floors (sweeping, dry and wet mopping, stripping, scrubbing, waxing, vacuuming, extraction, hosting, and buffing) according to schedule.
- Assist in cleaning emergency spills and perform project cleaning such as walls, ceilings, vents, light fixtures, windows, etc.
- Remove trash and recyclables from collection points, public areas, and entrance areas; transport to dumpster/trash pick‑up sites; replace liners as needed.
- Deep clean rooms/units during transfers and discharges as per department standards.
- Move furniture and assist in resident moves during transfers/discharges.
- Participate in campus linen program: distributing, collecting, counting, and preparing for pick‑up; handle incoming linen.
- Make beds in guest rooms or residences as needed.
- Maintain cleaning equipment, report or repair as appropriate, and observe/report repair needs for facilities, furniture, fixtures, etc.
- Participate in receiving campus supplies, deliveries, and put them away as needed.
- Assist in campus snow and ice salting as needed.
- High school education or equivalent.
- Housekeeping and/or general maintenance experience.
- Effective verbal and written communication in English with residents and staff.
- Dependable with strong common sense; ability to organize daily cleaning schedule and complete assignments.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work within standard policy and procedures with limited direct supervision.
- Interest in and desire to work with older adults (desired).
- Availability on weekends may be required.
Pay range: $13.28 – $17.02 per hour. Full‑time employees receive a generous benefits package.
