JOB SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Lead Person is responsible for leading the facility maintenance system, including:
Spare parts inventory
Maintenance planning
Procurement
Vendor management
Training and development of maintenance technicians
This role provides leadership while helping ensure equipment reliability, maintenance efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead team huddles and collaborate during daily production meetings
Participate in Daily Direction Setting (DDS) meetings and provide equipment status updates
Develop predictive and preventative maintenance programs
Coordinate repair transactions and research parts
Obtain quotes and identify alternative solutions
Confirm spare parts inventory accuracy
Coordinate purchasing of new and replacement parts with the fellow team lead
Examine, stock, and distribute materials in spare parts inventory and on manufacturing lines
Conduct equipment failure analysis, document findings, and report results to the supervisor
Maintain subject matter expertise across multiple plant areas and equipment
Train and develop maintenance technicians on equipment and procedures
Mentor technicians, provide constructive feedback, and communicate performance issues to management
Keep maintenance shops and spare parts areas clean and organized
Follow all safety procedures and actively participate in safety training and safety initiatives
Maintain safe and efficient use of equipment, tools, and personal work practices
Immediately report injuries, accidents, or unsafe conditions to the supervisor
Maintain the knowledge and experience expected of a Level II Maintenance Technician
Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent
At least 5+ years of maintenance and electrical experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
