Position: Laborer-03 INT – 6615

Laborer-03 - Golf Course

The incumbent will work under the direction of the Bear Valley Golf Course manager and the Lead Golf Course Greenskeeper. The Laborer will perform a combination of manual labor tasks. Laborers will be required to work various shifts including evenings and weekends and must have reliable transportation. The incumbent will be tolerant of all weather conditions and insects.

A Laborer loads and unloads heavy boxes, cartons and materials from trucks, dollies, etc.;
Runs hand lawn mowers, clears small tree limbs using hand saw, hatchet or clippers.;
Uses basic power equipment such as gas operated string trimmer, backpack power blower, power washer, etc.

Washes, stages and removes trash from golf carts, clubhouse, and on-course trash cans with using a utility car (i.e. Gator or small flatbed truck).

Picks, loads, and retrieves golf range balls from the driving range using a golf car with a ball picker attached.

Helps with club house set up and breakdown for special functions;
Opens and closes facility as directed;
Assists with light housekeeping and stocking restroom facilities;

Other related duties as assigned.

Required:

Minimum:

  • Practical knowledge of simple golf course laboring tasks is desirable but not required;
    Knowledge of basic hand tools, power and non-powered gardening implements and tools; requires constant walking, bending, and stooping and occasional lifting up to 100 pounds;
    Outdoor and indoor work in all types of weather conditions; must have a Valid Driver's License.

    • Residency Requirements:
