MWR Golf Course

* Season April – October, Leave Without Pay November-March

• Perform mowing, watering, and basic maintenance of the golf course, including mowing greens, raking traps, watering, and cutting fairways, tees, aprons, and rough areas as needed.
• Aerate, fertilize, and apply fungicides and insecticides as directed.
• Prune trees and shrubs.
• May be required to operate heavy equipment.
• May be required to assist in the pro shop/snack bar as necessary.
• Adhere to safety regulations and standards, use required safety equipment, and observe safe work procedures. Promptly report any observed workplace hazards, injury, occupational illness, or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.
• Perform other related duties as required.

• High school diploma, GED, or Trade School graduate.
• Experience following oral and written instructions.
• Must have a valid state driver’s license.
• Must be physically able to continuously stand, walk, stoop, reach, push, pull, and bend for long periods of time; able to lift objects weighing up to 45 pounds.

• Experience in grounds maintenance and accepted methods used in seeding, mowing, and replacing grasses used on golf courses.
• Knowledge of soils, chemicals, equipment used for maintenance and upkeep of golf courses; common grass diseases and pests and environmentally approved methods used for their control and eradication.
• Certificate of completion of environmental training.

• Residency Requirements:
