GENERAL MAINTENANCE WORKER| SIX MILE, LLC

JOB OVERVIEW
The General Maintenance Worker ensures the proper functioning of various systems within the facility, including routine checks, repairs, safety inspections, and coordination of supplies. The General Maintenance Worker plays a vital role in keeping buildings safe, functional, and well-maintained.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspects the building, grounds, and equipment.
- Handles necessary repairs and maintenance.
- Install equipment and appliances.
- Follows local and state building codes.
- Compliance with all company safety regulations.
- Keeps a maintenance log and writes shift reports.
- Report any issues to the maintenance manager or clients.
- Responds to repair and maintenance requests in a timely fashion.
- Loads and unloads equipment and tools into work vehicles if needed.
- Follows written and verbal instructions from the maintenance manager or clients.
- Collaborates with the maintenance team and contractors as needed.
- Reads and follows manuals, blueprints, and other written instructions.
- Uses equipment, including power tools, hand tools, electric tools, and plumbing tools.
REQUIREMENTS
- At least one year of building maintenance, construction, plumbing, or electrician experience is strongly preferred, but not required.
- A certification in building maintenance is a plus.
- Must have a driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Handles the physical demands of the job, including standing, bending, pulling, pushing, climbing, and lifting at least 50 pounds.
- Collaborates with maintenance workers, maintenance managers, and contractors.
- Able to use basic cleaning equipment.
- Ability to pass a background and drug screening.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The majority of your work will be performed in an indoor setting, where you will interact with a wide variety of people with differing functions, personalities, and abilities, located throughout the country.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
LIFTING & CARRYING
This position is generally active, requiring routine walking, standing, bending and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds. Employee must maintain a constant state of mental alertness at all times.
MOBILITY
The employees will need to move around to attend meetings, access shared resources, and collaborate with team members.
