Industrial Custodian

The custodial staff at Merrell Bros., Inc. plays a very important role in helping improve and maintain a safe and healthy work environment in our mechanical shop. Cleaning, maintenance, and organizational experience preferred.

Responsibilities Ensure spaces are prepared for the next day by removing trash, cleaning equipment & tools, and cleaning/dusting surfaces

Sweep/mop floors and vacuum carpets; use of industrial floor scrubber

Pressure washing bays Fueling Fleet Vehicles Wash and sanitize toilets, sinks and showers and restock disposables (e.g. soap)
Wipe mirrors and windows

Maintain outer premises by cleaning entrances, emptying trash receptacles

Perform maintenance and minor repairs as needed (fixing door handles, minor leaks etc.)Report major damages to management

Assist with other tasks to improve the overall efficiency

Experience driving fork truck

Attention to detail and conscientiousness

Able to lift 50 lbs; consistent heavy lifting

The list of responsibilities covers the majority of the work to be done but being flexible and being willing to take care of issues as they arise is very important

Preferred

Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components
