The CMMS Administrator / Planner Scheduler is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating service and repair work across Nelson-Jameson’s Service & Repair function, which provides maintenance, repair, and preventative services to food, beverage, and dairy manufacturing facilities. This role helps ensure service work is properly planned, parts and materials are identified and available, technicians are scheduled appropriately, and work orders and service records are accurate and complete.

Unlike a traditional plant-based maintenance role, this position supports service operations across a multi-site customer base. The role works closely with Project Managers, field technicians, customers, vendors, and procurement to coordinate upcoming work, identify parts and equipment needs, maintain preventative maintenance schedules, and manage service information within CMMS and ERP systems.

This position combines maintenance planning and scheduling with strong administrative, systems, and coordination responsibilities. You don't need to have held the title of Planner/Scheduler to be successful in this role. Experience in maintenance administration, CMMS administration, industrial or MRO parts, manufacturing support, service coordination, maintenance planning and scheduling, or a similar environment may all translate well.

• Service Planning & Scheduling
  • Plan and coordinate service, repair, and preventative maintenance work across multiple customer locations.
  • Build and maintain detailed work orders, including scope of work, parts and materials, labor needs, timelines, and service documentation.
  • Coordinate technician schedules, service timelines, parts availability, and customer needs to help ensure work is ready for execution.
  • Use familiarity with industrial equipment, parts, and maintenance terminology to support accurate work orders, parts identification, and service planning.
  • Support the development and maintenance of service and preventative maintenance programs, including service offerings, parts, job plans, and related system information.
  • Support Project Managers by keeping upcoming service work organized and moving forward, particularly while they are traveling or working on-site.
