Facilities Maintenance Technician

Lutheran Social Services of WI & UP MI seeks a Facilities Maintenance Technician to support safe, well-maintained environments across our healthcare and social service programs. In this mission-driven role, you will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems, equipment, and grounds; troubleshoot minor electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry issues; and respond to work orders and urgent facility needs. You'll help ensure our facilities meet safety and regulatory standards so staff and clients can thrive, while working within a compassionate, faith-inspired, and trauma-informed organization.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems, equipment, and grounds across LSS facilities
• Troubleshoot and repair minor electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry issues
• Respond to work orders and urgent facility needs to ensure safe, supportive environments for clients and staff
• Conduct safety inspections and report hazards or major repair needs to supervisors or contractors
• Maintain maintenance logs, inventory of supplies, and basic building documentation
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or projects
• Assist with room setups, moves, and general facility upkeep
• Follow OSHA, healthcare, and organizational safety standards and procedures
