Art Teacher Maternity Leave

Nazareth Academy is seeking a full‑time Art teacher to fill a maternity leave position at the start of the  school year. This position includes teaching five classes and supervising a study hall. Hours are Monday through Friday from 7:45 to 3:30 pm.

The position consists of the following responsibilities: lesson planning, teaching, and grading classwork generated in five Art classes. The ability to plan and implement high‑quality, engaging, and rigorous learning experiences in a block schedule is a priority, as is collaborating with other teachers within the department and adhering to all department policies. Nazareth is committed to educating the whole student; therefore, cultivating positive relationships with students and a safe and encouraging learning environment is essential.

• Bachelor of Arts degree (Master's preferred)
• Valid Professional Educator License
• Art endorsement or its equivalent

• Teaching or student teaching at the high school level
• Ability to use technology in instruction and for student learning
• Familiarity with 1:1 iPad use in the classroom
• Familiarity with Google Classroom and Google Apps for Education
• Engaging students in a block schedule
• Commitment to student success
