School Psychologist - La Grange Park, Illinois

Take the next step in your career by supporting elementary students as a School Psychologist for the  academic year. This contract opportunity is based near La Grange Park, IL, and offers the chance to collaborate with dedicated educators and make a meaningful impact within a K-6 setting.

You’ll work a full-time schedule of 35-37 hours per week, with a consistent start time of 8:00am and school days running until 3:45pm, except Wednesdays, which end at 4:30pm. The position commences on July 27th or as soon as possible.

Key

Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois School Psychologist certification and ability to meet all state requirements
• Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology or related field
• Previous experience in a school environment, preferably with elementary (K-6) students
• Strong assessment, consultation, and intervention skills
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive psycho-educational assessments and develop individualized recommendations for students
• Participate in IEP meetings as a key member of multidisciplinary teams
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to promote student success
• Deliver counseling and direct support to students as needed
• Support implementation of intervention strategies and positive behavioral support plans
