MATH TEACHER 26-27
Nazareth Academy has an immediate opening for a full-time Math teacher for the 26-27 school year. This position includes teaching five classes and a supervision assignment. The ability to plan and implement high-quality, engaging, and rigorous learning experiences is a priority, as is collaboration with other teachers within the department and adherence to all department policies. Nazareth is committed to educating the whole student;
therefore, building positive relationships with students and cultivating a safe and encouraging learning environment is essential.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Arts degree (Master's preferred)
- Valid Professional Educator License
- Mathematics endorsement or its equivalent
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
Preferred Experience:
- Teaching or student teaching at the high school level
- Ability to teach core high school math classes including those at the junior and senior levels
- Familiarity with 1:1 iPad use in the classroom
- Familiarity with Google Classroom
- Commitment to student success
- Ability to fully engage students in a block schedule
- Interest in coaching OR moderating student clubs/activities
