SHIFT:
Full time:
Monday‑Friday: 3 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.
- Flexibility is required to occasionally work alternate shifts, weekends or holidays to meet operational needs.
The security officer’s responsibilities include patrolling the premises, setting up security controls, monitoring property access, investigating suspicious behavior, and enforcing company policies.

PEOPLE STEWARDSHIP SERVICE QUALITY GROWTH Essential Job Functions / Responsibilities- Patrol property on foot and in vehicle, securing personnel, assets, buildings, and perimeter in all weather conditions.
- Investigate and take appropriate lawful action as authorized by company policy on accidents, incidents, trespassing, suspicious activities, safety and fire incidents.
- Complete daily reports, including relevant information, observations, surveillance footage, and signatures.
- Effectively communicate and interact with: law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency medical personnel.
- Secure all doors, windows, and exits, depending on shift.
- Respond immediately to distress calls, panic alarms, and emergency calls for disorderly conduct, disruptive persons, and incidents swiftly and appropriately.
- Responsible for delivery of packages to residents and applicable staff.
- Support the Concierge team with lunches/breaks, as applicable and daily overnight coverage.
- 1. Knowledge of the telephone system and concierge duties, exhibiting proper telephone and in‑person etiquette.
- 2. Assist with after‑hour basic plumbing issues to clear any obstructions.
- 3. Seek sufficient information in order to recognize and meet residents’ needs.
- 4. Demonstrate knowledge by using creativity and varying approaches in meeting residents’ needs.
- 5. Support a pet‑friendly environment.
- 6. Be aware of and respect resident rights during the course of all interactions with residents.
- 7. Carry out general Plymouth Place and specific departmental safety policies, reports hazards/safety issues promptly.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- 20‑hour Illinois State Security course required.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Registered as a security officer desirable.
