School District 105 is seeking to fill an EL Teacher position for the remainder of the school year (Serbian Bilingual preferred).
Position: EL (English Language Learners) Teacher
Requirements:
* Current Illinois Professional Educator License
* Registered in Suburban Cook County (Region
6)
* ESL Endorsement/Approval
* Bilingual (Serbian, Spanish)
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Create and prepare daily lesson plans for appropriate language development and learning skill level, making adjustments when needed
* Modify lessons in collaboration with classroom teachers, to ensure students are attending and participating in class
* Modify classroom assessments, provide accommodations and assess language growth in all domains of language acquisition
* Be active in the school community and events
* Participate in teaching training sessions and stay up to date with current teaching methods, and best practices when teaching ELs.
* Efficient time management
* Good at problem-solving quickly under pressure
* Excellent collaborator
* Strong organizational skills
* Good classroom management
* Experienced in teaching English Language Learners
* A passion for learning and sharing your knowledge with others
