Part of the Archdiocese of Chicago Catholic School system, this position supports the musical education of students tus Parish School for the 2026‑2027 school year. The instructor works part‑time and collaborates closely with the principal and music staff to develop and lead band instruction consistent with Catholic educational values.

• Teach and lead band instruction for students, ensuring alignment with Catholic doctrinal and moral teachings
• Serve as a role model for religious formation and represent the Catholic Church in school activities
• Engage in school and parish events, including religious ceremonies and extracurricular activities
• Attend faculty meetings, professional development, and performance reviews as required
• Maintain accurate student attendance and academic records for band instruction
• Communicate regularly with students, parents/guardians, colleagues, and the principal about student progress and relevant needs
• Collaborate with the school on curriculum planning and extracurricular music programming
• Maintain a safe, orderly, and secure learning environment for students

• Preferred:
  Practicing Catholic (required for a religion teacher role; beneficial for a band instructor)
• Must be compliant with safe environment requirements
• Must hold a Bachelor’s degree
• Must hold valid state licensure for the grade/subject area (preferred, not required)
• Must complete Catholic identity formation training

Salary range: $38,527‑$68,776 for a lay employee and $35,686‑$62,316 for a religious employee. Compensation is based on education, qualifications, experience, skills, location, and organizational needs.
