Automotive Restoration Metal Fabricator

Job Description

A very busy automotive restoration facility in LaGrange, Il specializing in Classic, Muscle and Exotic cars, seeking an experienced fabricator to join our team.

Responsibilities:
- Strong background in metal fabrication (Patch Panels, Floors, Quarters etc.)
-MIG/TIG professional welding of Aluminum, Steel, and Stainless Steel.
-Body panel alignment and consistent panel gapping work with attention to detail.
-Some chassis modifications/minor frame repair.
-Ability to fabricate parts that are not present or no longer available.
-Ability to perform corrosion repair.
-Strong problem solving skills with ability to be creative in problem solving when addressing part fitment or functional challenges.
-Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
-Strong time management skills.

Qualifications:
-Ability to be mindful of the next process of body work and its tolerances.
-Must take pride in their work and can think through challenges and is committed to delivering high quality craftsmanship.
-Minimum of 5 years automotive experience.
-Ability and desire to do high level "show quality" work.
-Self-motivated/goal oriented.
-Ability to work well independently and work well within a team to ensure positive results.
-Ability to maintain a safe clean work space.

Start Date/Hours:
-Immediate start available
-Hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily Monday-Friday

Compensation:
-Hourly pay is based on experience and skills.
-Overtime is available when necessary for job completion.
