Sr. Maintenance Mechanic-Steel

Greif Packaging - 10850 Strang Road - Responsibilities:
Ensure reliability of machinery and equipment by completing preventive maintenance on machinery and systems;
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, PLC, pneumatic and hydraulic components;
Read and interpret equipment manuals, diagrams, and drawings to perform maintenance;
Define mechanical clearances and tolerances between shaft, bearings and couplings;
Perform root-cause analysis for major breakdowns;
Assemble, install, adjust, and calibrate machinery and equipment;
Dismantle, repair, rebuild, and replace equipment and parts as needed;
Adhere to plant safety policies and Lean/Operational Excellence programs;
Provide guidance to junior maintenance colleagues;
Manage work orders in the eMaint CMMS to report tasks performed on machines;
Propose improvements to maintenance procedures;
Specialize in pneumatic and hydraulic circuits and bearing systems;
Replace servo motors and gearboxes as needed;
Maintain English proficiency; bilingual English/Spanish a plus
