Maintenance Planner

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to lead and optimize the maintenance planning and work order process within a high‑volume manufacturing operation. This individual will play a critical role in improving equipment reliability, maintenance efficiency, and overall plant performance by implementing maintenance planning best practices and maximizing the effectiveness of the CMMS system. The ideal candidate has a strong background in maintenance planning, work order management, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement, along with a proven ability to drive process improvements across maintenance organizations.

• Lead the improvement and optimization of the maintenance work order system.
• Develop and maintain standardized processes for work order creation, planning, prioritization, scheduling, and closeout.
• Create detailed maintenance job plans including labor estimates, required parts, tools, permits, and safety requirements.
• Maintain the integrity and accuracy of CMMS data through routine audits and data cleanup.
• Reduce maintenance backlog through effective planning and scheduling practices.
• Partner with Operations and Maintenance leadership to prioritize work based on production requirements and equipment criticality.
• Develop and improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Ensure all scheduled work meets "ready‑to‑work" standards prior to execution.
• Monitor and report maintenance KPIs including schedule compliance, PM completion, backlog management, and maintenance performance.
• Train maintenance personnel on proper CMMS usage and work order processes.
• Support plant shutdowns, outages, and major maintenance projects.
• Promote a culture focused on planning discipline, accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
