Maintenance Technician - River Ranch Property Management
A local commercial property management company with a strong commitment to customer service is hiring a Maintenance Technician to support our portfolio of commercial office, retail, restaurant, and residential properties throughout the Lafayette area.
Position OverviewThis is a full-time, hands‑on position responsible for routine maintenance, general repairs, and completing service requests across a variety of property types. The ideal candidate is self‑motivated, professional, and experienced in general building maintenance.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to maintenance work orders and complete tasks from start to finish.
- Operate and maintain light equipment: golf carts, pressure washers, blowers, vacuums, compressors, etc.
- Complete make‑readies to include: caulking tubs, repairing or changing faucets, changing light fixtures, installing or repairing ceiling fans, changing toilet and toilet seats, changing burned out or missing bulbs, changing or repairing sinks, checking all window locks, painting if needed, etc.
- Perform light plumbing and electrical repairs as needed.
- Perform light equipment repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Maintain lighting in common areas, mechanical spaces, and building exteriors.
- Keep maintenance logs and report larger repair needs to management.
- Ensure all work areas and mechanical/electrical rooms are safe, clean, and orderly.
- Interact professionally with tenants, vendors, and team members.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance, facilities, or general trades.
- Reliable transportation with valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and current vehicle insurance.
- Strong communication skills and ability to maintain a professional, courteous demeanor with tenants and vendors.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly be required to:
- Lift light to heavy objects: up to 80 pounds
- Able to climb up to five (5) flights stairs
- Able to climb a 12‑ft ladder
- Work inside and outside of buildings with exposure to a variety of weather conditions, outdoor elements, dust, odors, oil, fumes, and noise from machines and moving parts.
Work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, with occasional overtime and participation in a rotating on‑call schedule for evenings and weekends.
This position primarily assists the Property Manager with the day-to-day operations and management of the property.
