Senior Technician, General Facilities Maintenance

Position Summary

Walmart is hiring General Maintenance Technicians! You will make an impact as a maintenance technician by diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance duties for all commercial equipment to support our Walmart stores. You will be responsible for developing preventative maintenance schedules, completing assigned PMs within the timeframe outlined, and conducting training for Store Associates on care and cleaning of equipment.

Perform minor repairs on facilities, equipment, or fixtures (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment).

• Complete routine maintenance to ensure safety and proper functionality.
• Manage work orders and routine maintenance schedules by completing and providing required written and electronic information (e.g., expense vouchers, weekly summaries, work orders, maintenance logs).

• 5 years of experience in maintenance.
• Hold a valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report.
• 1 year of experience using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

• Previous experience in maintenance (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment etc.).
• Understanding of the importance of customer service and clear, transparent, respectful communication.
• Personal accountability and effective time management to achieve commitments.
• Ability to adapt to changing and competing demands using solid judgment to identify priorities.
• BELIEVE in Servant Leadership and can work as a team to achieve goals.

* Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
