At Great Wolf, the Maintenance Technician 1 oversees the day-to-day engineering operations in the lodge. This includes project management, general life safety, ordering, working with vendors, and is responsible for completing preventative maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel guestrooms, public spaces, equipment, buildings & grounds.

• Perform preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and all utility shut-offs for buildings.
• Test, troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on all types of equipment, plumbing (e.g., plunge toilets, unclog drains), electrical components including lamps, cosmetic items, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, replace electrical switches and outlets, and other guestroom items.
• Assure each day's activities and problems are communicated to the other shifts using approved communication programs and standards.
• Ensure all work performed is conducted safely and timely, adhering to safety and equipment utilization standards.
• Maintain working knowledge of departmental safety procedures; attend safety training and in-service as required for continued development.
• Maintain necessary service records on mechanical and structural systems.
• Ensure all standard operating procedures are followed for park operation, employee relations, timekeeping and safety, including all daily, weekly, and monthly documentation.
• Other duties as deemed appropriate by the Assistant Director of Engineering.

• Technical degree.
• Technical training.
• Trade related certifications.
• Hospitality, healthcare or related industry experience.
• Trade related certifications preferred in HVAC and/or Electrical.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance and perform heavier lifting or movement tasks with assistance. Move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Ability to work at heights up to 50 feet using ladders, harnesses and lifts.
• Computer skills: database software, internet software, order processing systems, Microsoft Office suite.
• Valid driver’s license.

$20.50 annual base salary.

An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is one component of Great Wolf’s total compensation package. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a paid time off policy, and other perks.
