Utility Worker

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Utility Worker specializing in floor care and pressure washing. In this role, you will perform specialized cleaning and maintenance services across a wide variety of commercial facilities. This is a physically active, hands‑on role suited to those who take pride in maintaining clean, professional environments.

• Floor Care Services:
  • Strip, clean, wax, buff, and burnish VCT, LVT, laminate, tile, wood, and other hard floor surfaces.
  • Shampoo and extract carpets and clean upholstery using professional-grade equipment.
  • Clean and disinfect tile and grout surfaces.
  • Identify different floor types and apply proper cleaning techniques accordingly.
• Pressure Washing Services:
  • Operate commercial‑grade pressure washing equipment to clean outdoor surfaces such as concrete walkways and building exteriors.
  • Follow safety and environmental procedures to ensure responsible and efficient water usage.

• Minimum of 1 year experience in floor care, pressure washing, or janitorial services preferred (training available for candidates with strong work ethic).
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, nights, and weekends as needed.
• Ability to lift, push, and carry equipment and supplies up to 75 lbs.
• Constant standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and repetitive movement.
• Must be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to differentiate between cleaning products and their appropriate applications.
• Must wear appropriate PPE and comply with OSHA and company safety standards.

• Familiarity with scrubbers, rotos, buffers, wet vacuums, and extractors.
• Understanding of floor maintenance chemicals and procedures.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
