Maintenance Manager

The Maintenance Manager directs and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in corrective and preventive maintenance of production machines, tools, equipment and maintains buildings, grounds and utility systems.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Scheduling repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.
  • Coordinating activities of workers by fabricating or modifying machines, tools, or equipment to manufacture new products or improve existing products.
  • Overseeing preventive maintenance program.
  • Reviewing production and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities.
  • Maintaining TS compliance with proper documentation and record keeping.
  • Inspecting operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.
  • Planning, developing, and implementing new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.
  • Reviewing new product plans and discussing equipment needs and modifications to evaluate the most cost-effective methods of automation.
  • Requisition ing tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations.
  • Directing training and indoctrination of workers to improve work performance and acquaint workers with company policies and procedures.
  • Purchasing parts, equipment, and other materials needed to keep machines running while at the same time meeting budget P&L concerns.
  • Collaborating with management to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.
  • Supporting the safety program at the facility.
  • Preparing department budget and monitoring expenditure of funds in budget.
  • Knowledge of TS and ISO 14001.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications include:

  • Associate's degree (A.

    A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and minimum 3 years supervisory experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of control circuits, process controls, plant electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding and operation of machine tools.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee frequently is required to sit; climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
