Salary range: $17.05 - $23.80 hourly. Placement depends on experience and internal equity. Union positions follow the collective bargaining agreement.

• This is a part‑time position at 28 hours per week located at Catherine Gratz Griffin Lake Forest Hospital. The hours are 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. with every other weekend rotation.
• The EVS Tech II reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, complies with all policies and regulations.

• Cleans and maintains patient rooms, offices, public areas, and treatment rooms daily, including trash collection, linen changes, and surface sanitization.
• Follows policies on patient isolation and contact precautions.
• Stocks paper items and supplies in assigned areas as needed.
• Maintains cart and equipment in clean condition and stores appropriately.
• Promotes workplace safety; uses wet‑floor signs, PPE, and does not leave supplies unattended.
• Uses chemicals and equipment safely, following correct dilution and labeling.
• Notifies supervisor of equipment needing repairs and reports safety hazards.
• Communicates schedule issues or other concerns proactively to supervisor or call‑center.
• Establishes and maintains professional relationships with hospital personnel while protecting patient confidentiality.
• Exhibits effective customer service and problem‑solving skills.
• Uses organizational and departmental resources efficiently.
• Manages work schedule to complete tasks on time.
• Contributes to continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
• Maintains a friendly, professional demeanor and appearance.
• Provides accurate information and timeliness to patients and customers.
• Demonstrates teamwork with co‑workers across departments.

• Must exhibit the ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with patients, visitors and staff.
• Must be able to use the proper tracking and communication tools used by the department.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Preferred:
  One to three years of environmental services experience in a healthcare or hospitality environment.
