The successful Assistant Project Manager will strive to enhance their expertise and abilities consistently, ensuring the delivery of high-quality work in a safe manner, adhering to production schedules, and integrating UMC's Vision, Mission, and Core Values.
APM Pay Range (Hourly):Hourly Pay:$25.00 - $35.00/ Hourly depending on experience
Assistant Project Manager Responsibilities and Duties (Essential Job Functions):- Identify and communicate resources needs to management.
- Administration including Request for Information (RFI's), Architectural Supplemental Information (ASI), submittals, Request for Quote (RFQ) change management, contract closeout, and claims mitigation.
- Provide O&M, RFI, warranty, and as-built support
- Data entry of project take-offs.
- Responsible for pulling permits.
- Verification of permit close outs at project completion.
- Coordinating & scheduling of project inspections.
- Creation and addition of QA/QC sheets for each new project.
- Creation of MR’s as necessary.
- Responsible for plan printing.
- Creation of overlays for construction constraints.
- Creating RFI’s pertaining to basic constraints, questions and or concerns.
- Project close out documents
- Ensure time is allotted for phone calls, emails, and paperwork
- Manage all back-office requirements, including filing, copying, answering phone calls, onboarding new employees, and apprenticeship program registrations.
- Perform any other duties or tasks that may be assigned by Project Managers
- Must have a high school diploma, or General Equivalency Diploma, or GED.
- Must have 1-3 years of recent experience as a project management assistant, project coordinator, or project engineer in construction or Plumbing.
- Must support UMC's Vision, Mission, and Core Value statements, demonstrate a high degree of integrity and maintain the confidentiality of personnel and business information.
- Possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, initiative, and communications skills.
- Possess effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret operating manuals, plans, and applicable building codes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products and possess the aptitude to learn and use additional computer software as needed, i.e., Field View, Bluebeam, Vista by Viewpoint.
- Must be able to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk; hear; sit; stoop; kneel; crouch or crawl; climb or balance; stand; walk; lift or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds; work overhead and in cramped quarters. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Must be 21 years or older, have a valid driver's license, be able to pass a commercial motor vehicle physical, and be able to drive on adverse road conditions.
- Authorized to work in US, and pass a criminal background check
