As our Power Plant Operator hony Hospital in Lakewood, Colorado, you will help ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors by operating, maintaining, and repairing the equipment that provides power, heating, cooling, and ventilation to a hospital facility.

Every day you will operate power systems, provide routine maintenance and inspections, and conduct regular inspections. You will be expected to monitor and track energy usage, and follow safety protocols.

To be successful, you must use your problem‑solving abilities to diagnose and fix mechanical failures, and your attention to detail to monitor complex systems and detect issues before they escalate. As a Power Plant Operator, you are essential to keeping the hospital operational 24/7.

• Perform routine maintenance, lubrication, and cleaning of boilers, chillers and all central plant equipment.
• Maintain the mechanical equipment such as engines, compressors, generators, pumps and steam boilers during the respective shifts.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

Qualified candidates will need the following:

• High School Diploma.
• Knowledge of boilers, pumps, gauges, heating units and systems, hand tools, generators, ventilation equipment, plumbing fixtures, and heating and cooling distribution systems.
• Knowledge of regulations imposed by local, state, or other hospital authorities.
• Ability to troubleshoot systems as necessary.
• Proficiency with multiple Building Automation System functions.

• Certified Stationary Engineer;
  Underground Storage Tank Operator Certification (Class A/B).

Physical Requirements
:
Medium work – able to exert or lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, up to 20 lbs frequently, and up to 10 lbs constantly.

Can expect to work between 16–32 hours per pay period; 8‑ and 12‑hour shifts are available.

Located in Lakewood, Colorado, St. Anthony Hospital is a Level I Trauma Center that provides a full range of medical specialties and health‑care services to Denver and the surrounding region. The facility operates 24/7 and supplies critical care to the most severely ill and injured patients.
