Treatment Plant Coordinator 2 (Water Treatment) – .

Location:

Southeast Correctional Institution, Lancaster, OH. Salary: $61,000 to $87,000 per year.

Schedule:

Full‑time.

• Assist the treatment plant operation manager.
• Coordinate operation and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment (motors, pumps, blowers, comminutors, air compressors, chemical feeders).
• Train maintenance staff and operators in proper operation and maintenance procedures.
• Inspect facilities and coordinate purchase of chemicals and parts.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and adjust equipment.
• Review preventive maintenance programs.
• Inspect newly installed equipment.
• Instruct facility staff in chemical testing procedures and daily reporting.
• Review design drawings and specifications for contract work.
• Meet with consultants to resolve construction or installation problems.
• Perform general maintenance at the water treatment facility (tilling seed beds, mowing grass, painting buildings, plowing snow).
• Execute operational modifications necessary in emergencies to meet EPA requirements.
• Attend annual training, meetings, and/or serve on committees.

Class II Water or Class II Wastewater license required.

Experience:

at least 12 months as a treatment plant operator in a water or sewage treatment plant, including conducting routine laboratory tests on treatment plant flows; at least 6 months training or experience in employee training and development. Valid driver’s license. Must meet OAC 3745‑7‑15 contact‑hour requirements for certification renewal.
