We are seeking an experienced maintenance professional with a strong background in hotel/resort maintenance to serve as the Chief Engineer. The Chief Engineer will oversee the maintenance department, ensuring the operational reliability of all mechanical equipment, hotel property, outside grounds, and hotel equipment. The role involves preventative maintenance, asset protection, and coordination with contractors.

• Respond to guests’ maintenance requests and questions and resolve their needs efficiently.
• Hire new employees and recommend promotions within Property Operations.
• Train, motivate, and support subordinate staff to ensure quality service.
• Counsel, coach, discipline, and document performance of staff.
• Recognize and reward superior performance.
• Direct and supervise staff in Property Operations.
• Set work schedules for staff according to skill and workload level.
• Organize and participate in meetings and maintain records and data pertaining to Property Operations.
• Participate in development and monitoring of budget analysis and capital plans.
• Develop and monitor engineering supplies, parts, inventories, and administer the purchase order system.
• Coordinate with outside contractors.
• Ensure correct use of office equipment, EMS systems, and Life Safety Systems (training provided).

• Vocational or technical training preferred.
• Minimum two years of experience in a similar position in the hospitality industry.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Ability to read and interpret HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing blueprints.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Universal refrigerant license.
• Ability to read wire and schematic diagrams.
• Ability to properly use an electrical meter.
• Physical ability to walk, stand, reach, crouch, bend, push/pull, and lift up to 50 lbs throughout the duration of the shift.

Base salary: $2000 - $2000 per month.
