Sr. Manager, Maintenance & Facilities

The Sr. Manager, Maintenance & Facilities provides strategic leadership for all maintenance, reliability, and facility operations across EEC's two manufacturing locations. This role is accountable for developing and executing a unified maintenance and facilities strategy that maximizes equipment reliability, supports production performance, ensures regulatory compliance, and optimizes lifecycle costs. Working through site-level leadership, the Sr. Manager drives standardization, continuous improvement, capital planning, talent development, and operational excellence to support a low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide senior-level leadership and accountability for maintenance and facilities performance across both sites.
  • Standardize maintenance strategies, PM/PdM programs, CMMS practices, and facility management processes across both sites.
  • Lead, coach, and develop site-level maintenance/facilities leads, ensuring consistent execution and a strong bench across locations.
  • Allocate resources, staffing, and capital across both sites based on relative risk, production priority, and business need.
  • Travel regularly between both sites to maintain visibility, drive consistency, and support site leadership.
  • Ensure maintenance and facility operations comply with OSHA regulations, environmental requirements, electrical safety standards, and company EHS policies.
  • Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime at both sites.
  • Oversee troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of diverse manufacturing equipment across the two-site portfolio.
  • Implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance reliability and production efficiency site-to-site.
  • Develop long-term asset management strategies, including lifecycle planning, equipment replacement, and facility infrastructure investments.
  • Oversee day-to-day facilities operations at both sites to ensure smooth and safe operations.
  • Manage service contracts cost-effectively across both locations while maintaining high service quality.
  • Ensure facilities teams consistently provide positive and prompt responses to internal requests at each site.
  • Maintain building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and safety systems across both facilities.
  • Plan and execute facility upgrades, renovations, and compliance initiatives.
  • Develop, prepare, and explain the combined annual maintenance and facilities budget across both sites.
  • Monitor maintenance and facilities expenditures at each site, ensuring cost-effective operations enterprise-wide.
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs), equipment uptime, maintenance costs, and safety metrics by site and in aggregate.
  • Own the organization's CMMS strategy, ensuring accurate asset histories, PM optimization, work order management, inventory integration, and maintenance reporting across both sites.
  • Drive innovation by developing and implementing best practices that scale across multiple sites.
  • Support new product introductions and process changes from a maintenance and facility perspective at both locations.
  • Apply Lean, TPM, and other continuous improvement methodologies to optimize operations enterprise-wide.
  • Lead, coach, and develop maintenance and facilities staff across both sites.
  • Build succession depth by developing site-level leads capable of running day-to-day operations independently.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, operational excellence, and accountability consistently across locations.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Procurement leadership at both sites to align maintenance strategies with manufacturing requirements.
  • Act as a key partner in problem-solving and operational planning at the multi-site level.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support operational and strategic objectives.
Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years in maintenance, facilities, or manufacturing operations; experience in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing and multi-site environments preferred.
  • Leadership: Minimum 5 years leading maintenance/facilities teams, with demonstrated experience overseeing multiple sites, shifts, or locations.
  • Other requirements: This position may require access to ITAR-controlled technical data and services. As such, all applicants must be U.S. persons, as defined by ITAR, to be considered for this role. A U.S. person is a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or individual with protected status under U.S. immigration laws.
