Welder / MIG/MAG/TIG
In this role, you will be responsible for performing GMAW tack welding, torch cutting, and layout operations to assemble steel components for final welding. You will also carry out GMAW welding processes on production materials in accordance with the required specifications. This position plays a key role in ensuring structural accuracy and weld quality throughout the fabrication process. To be successful in this position, you should be detail‑oriented, skilled in blueprint reading, and committed to working safely in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with quality control standards and maintain required AWS certifications, consistently meeting or exceeding the 85% UT pass ratio.
- Arrange steel frames through precise layout, tack welding, and final welding, including lifting and positioning heavy components safely.
- Operate assigned equipment with a thorough understanding of its capabilities and relevant welding codes; perform machine setup and routine maintenance as needed.
- Accurately complete all job‑related documentation and data entry; manage tasks independently with minimal supervision.
- Work effectively in elevated temperatures while wearing layered personal protective equipment (PPE).
Education:
- High School Diploma, or GED, preferred.
Shift:
- 1st: 6:00am - 4:30pm
- 2nd: 7:30pm- 6:00am
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Responsible for creating a collaborative, safe and hazard‑free environment that is driven by employee involvement. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to leading departmental continuous improvement projects, supporting and executing all safety and health policies and programs, employee training and incident investigations.

Strong mathematical skills, with the ability to work confidently with fractions and decimals.
Capable of reading and interpreting fabrication drawings and data sheets for precise assembly.
Proficient in using hand tools including tape measures, squares, protractors, oxy‑acetylene torches, plasma cutters, and grinding equipment.
Solid understanding of welding techniques and metal fabrication processes.
