The Seasonal Summer Laborer assists in the daily operation, maintenance, and upkeep of the wastewater treatment facility and surrounding grounds. This position provides hands‑on support to plant operators and maintenance staff, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant plant operations during peak seasonal demands.

• Perform general labor tasks including cleaning, painting, mowing, trimming, and facility upkeep
• Assist with routine maintenance of equipment, tanks, and treatment systems
• Remove debris, sludge, and waste materials as directed
• Support plant operators with inspections and basic operational tasks
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and orderly condition
• Follow all safety procedures, including use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Report equipment issues, hazards, or safety concerns to supervisors
• Assist with minor repairs and preventative maintenance tasks
• Perform other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent (or currently enrolled) preferred
• Ability to perform physical labor in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license preferred

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
• Comfortable working around water, odors, and wastewater treatment processes
• Ability to work outdoors in heat, humidity, and inclement weather

• Full-time seasonal hours (typically 40 hours/week)

• Hourly rate: $15.00
• No benefits (seasonal position), unless otherwise specified

This position requires adherence to all workplace safety standards. Employees will be trained on hazard communication, confined space awareness, and proper use of PPE.
