Qualifications:
1. Professional License (IDFPR) - You must be licensed by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
2. Educator License (ISBE PEL) - School-based OTs in Illinois must also hold a Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Support Personnel endorsement.
3. New Requirements for 2026 - Content Area Testing:
Effective January 1, 2026, all applicants for a PEL (including those applying via out-of-state reciprocity) must pass the applicable Illinois Licensure Testing System (ILTS) content area test to qualify.
Salary: Salary is in accordance with the teacher salary schedule
