Special Education Teacher
Candidates must demonstrate their ability to succeed in providing for engaging child-centered classrooms where the care and achievement of every student takes priority. Preference will be given to applicants who have knowledge and documented successful experience working with learners having special needs. Additionally, candidates must give evidence of their ability to work with the various professionals in meeting the unique needs of these students as well as provide evidence of effective parent communication skills.
Candidates must be willing to be a positive part of the educational team at the school which focuses on the continuous improvement of student achievement in an environment where the whole child is valued.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in job related area Illinois State Board of Education Professional Educator License (PEL) Required State PEL with a LBS1 Endorsement required Compensation:
Commensurate with experience per (Starting at $52,657) LEA Collective Bargaining Agreement;
Comprehensive Benefits Package, and Paid Time Off, 180 Day Calendar, Full-time Status, Exempt
