Salary Range: $58,000.00 To $65,000.00 Annually
Location: Torrence Place/Lansing South Apartments;
Lansing, IL
Schedule: Monday3,-Friday, plus weekends/holidays as needed
Salary:$58K - $65K, based on experience

QualificationsRequired:
- High School diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of experience in multifamily property management
- Tax Credit Certification (or ability to obtain within 120 days of hire)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
- Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years managing staff and property operations
- PSH Expertise:
Prior experience in Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) is highly preferred, specifically a demonstrated ability to navigate the unique needs of residents who have experienced homelessness, trauma, or have complex physical and behavioral health needs.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. occasionally
- Frequent walking, stair climbing, and site inspections (including attics/roofs)

We are seeking a highly motivated Community Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of one or more properties in our regional portfolio. This role is vital to the success and stability of our communities and plays a central part in creating positive, supportive living environments for our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in hiring, training, and supervising on-site property staff
- Provide feedback and contribute to performance reviews
- Enforce company policies and ensure a professional, respectful work environment
- Collect and post rent, handle deposits, and manage petty cash
- Approve invoices and assist with budget creation and variance reporting
- Recommend rent increases and manage evictions when necessary
- Maintain a high-functioning relationship with on-site service providers to coordinate resident support, manage reasonable accommodation requests, and proactively address lease compliance through a collaborative, mission-driven lens.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with a variety of housing programs, including:
Section 42, HUD, HOME, Section 811, PBRA, FHLB, and Bond Programs
- Approve and reject applicants (subject to change)
- Maintain accurate lease files and property records
- Monitor and improve leasing performance and occupancy rates
- Analyze market trends and coordinate advertising
- Ensure timely response to maintenance requests
- Conduct unit and site inspections
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors
- Respond to emergency situations promptly
- Serve as a key point of contact for resident concerns
- Support lease renewals and resident retention
- Oversee resident activities and community-building efforts
