Overview

The Ed Napleton Automotive Group is looking for an Automotive Dealership Controller
. This is an exciting opportunity in a growing, fast-paced industry. Located in Lansing, Illinoi supporting Napleton River Oaks Hyundai and River Oaks KIA, the Automotive Dealership Controller provides sales and expense analyses for all departments. The role fairly represents the financial condition of the dealership, develops controls necessary for the proper conduct of the business, and maintains accurate records.

• Oversees the financial accounting system and personnel
• Attracts, develops, and retains the very best talent for the office
• Prepares complete financial statements and submits them to the manufacturer and management in accordance with established time frames
• Interprets and analyzes financial statements
• Keeps the General Manager informed on the trends and cash needs of the business
• Develops and maintains an effective cash management system
• Closes the books accurately each month
• Prepares and submits required statements and reports
• Manages and safeguards the store’s assets and ensures internal controls are in place
• Assists department managers in reading and interpreting their financial reports and in creating action plans to improve operations
• Responds to requests for information and assistance in a timely manner
• Works with General Manager to improve revenue or reduce expense to meet or exceed budget
• Ensures all Human Resources and Payroll functions are operational

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Five+ years of Automotive Dealership experience required
• CDK experience is required
• Working knowledge of dealership financial statements
• Ability to explain technical financial information in an understandable manner
• Excellent communication skills
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy
