Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Industrial Maintenance Technician
This role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving plant production and facility equipment in a high-volume manufacturing environment. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose and repair complex electrical and mechanical issues, support production start-up activities, and collaborate with both internal teams and external contractors to keep operations running safely and efficiently.
Essential Skills- Industrial maintenance experience involving direct, daily work with PLCs, electro-pneumatics, and electro-hydraulics.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting for automated production and facility equipment.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting and supporting Allen-Bradley PLCs, including RS500 and RS5000 software platforms.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical prints and schematics accurately.
- Experience working with and troubleshooting six-axis robots, including homing and recovery procedures.
- Knowledge of servo drives and servo motors and their role in automated equipment.
- Experience working with three-phase motors in an industrial setting.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems used in production equipment.
- Ability to apply SPC (Statistical Process Control) techniques to support Total Quality Control (TQC) practices, including charting and problem-solving.
- Competence in using hand tools and power tools safely to dismantle, repair, and reassemble machinery.
- Ability to complete detailed maintenance reports and documentation clearly and accurately.
- Capability to perform equipment start-up, warm-up, and quality audit activities in a production environment
This is a Contract position based out of Lansing, MI.
The pay range for this position is $29.89 - $36.99/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
