Overview
The City of Laramie is accepting applications for a part-time Landfill Laborer. This position performs litter collection both on-site and off-site at the landfill.
Responsibilities- Collect wind-blown litter
- Use hand tools as required
- Observe safety in all phases of operation
- Maintain simple records and logs
- Repair, construct and maintain litter collection fences and screen panels
- Experience performing manual labor for extended periods of time in all weather conditions
- Special Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand, kneel, crouch, squat, stoop, reach, crawl, twist, climb, and lift 75 pounds; exposure to cold, heat, noise, outdoors, vibration, confining work space, mechanical hazards. - Applicants who are offered an appointment are required to pass a comprehensive background investigation, drug screening test and driver license check.
