Water Meter Servicer ; A264115-6 Utility Billing

Position: Water Meter Servicer I, (A264115-6), 203, Utility Billing
Reads water meters at residential and business locations. Completes daily work orders for connections and disconnections. Diagnoses, repairs, and maintains water meters to ensure functionality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

* Conducts meter readings, manually and/or with an integrated register.

* Maintains water meter operations by diagnosing and repairing as needed.

* Fulfills work orders, including connections and disconnections of service.  

* Will be required to drive a City vehicle for City business use.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

Position will have the following exposures

Required

Education and Experience

* At least three (3) months of general experience.

Required Licenses or Certifications

* Valid Texas Driver License. If applicant holds an out-of-state license, a State of Texas Driver License must be obtained within 6 months of employment.

As part of the minimum requirements for all positions with the City of Laredo, a thorough background check and certified school transcripts will be required from all applicants who are offered employment.
