Maintenance Technician A2 WED

Position: Maintenance Technician I A2 Sunday to Tuesday and every other WED 6pm-6am
Our Laredo Distribution Center a 187,000 sq. ft. refrigerated facility operating 24/7, is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for general facility maintenance and sanitation functions. This role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor, key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform routine electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks.
• Participate in preventative, predictive and emergency maintenance at facility.
• Insure equipment, tools, and spare parts are available and secured when not in use.
• Follow tool control and inventory program to support routine maintenance.
• Ensure facility is adhering to our safe and healthy guidelines by performing various housekeeping tasks, i.e. power-washing.

Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities

Required

• Minimum of 2 years work experience as a maintenance technician.
• Work experience in a manufacturing environment is desired, food manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Good working knowledge of electrical, carpentry, and plumbing required.
• Team player with positive work attitude.
• Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods.
• 70% of the work is cleaning and maintenance, 30% adjustments and preparation of machines in production.

Working Conditions:

• Work environment is a refrigerated warehouse, where the temperature averages 50 degrees Fahrenheit
• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. with or without accommodation
• Position requires sitting, standing, walking and bending, squatting, and crawling on a regular basis
