Job Summary
The Facility Maintenance Engineer, working under the direct supervision of the Supervisor of Engineering/Plant Operations, is responsible for the plant operations, maintenance, and monitoring of the hospital mechanical, electrical, and supported facilities. This is an experienced level position in a 24/7 healthcare facility. The right person must be able to be on call after hours and on weekends on a rotating basis.
Responsibilities- Make equipment and building rounds. Record and log data on all mechanical, electrical, equipment, and other systems.
- Respond to call backs and remedy issue/s. If needed, elevate findings to Facilities Supervisor.
- Direct electrical, mechanical, and construction facilities vendors to routine work area/s. Facilitate repairs and installations as needed.
- Crossover work with the operations team on joint departmental efforts.
- Promptly respond and close work orders and tickets as assigned.
- Accurately record machinery history and rapidly report any problems with machinery to Facilities Supervisor.
- Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions in facilities systems/TMS.
- Use experience in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Monitoring and Control in conformity with pertinent facility policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Accountable for specific tasks assigned within scope of work and their successful completion.

- High School or GED required
- 1-3 years experience in hospital maintenance or construction trades work.
- Ability to perform basic maintenance work
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Good written and communication skills.
