Position OverviewThe Floorcare Technician is responsible for cleaning and maintaining carpeted areas while meeting quality and timeliness standards. The Technician must follow the company mission, uphold values, and provide exceptional service to guests.
Essential Functions- Inspect all areas prior to cleaning for damage and stains.
- Determine washing method based on condition; vacuum loose dirt and pre‑treat stains.
- Walk all assigned buildings or floors to ensure readiness for occupancy.
- Report unit maintenance issues as per company procedure.
- Lift and move furniture as needed; properly use and maintain carpet cleaning equipment.
- Store chemicals in approved areas and maintain cleanliness of storage closets.
- Maintain and operate company‑owned vehicles and ensure a safe working environment.
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency to complete duties on time; be timely and efficient.
- Use supplies and equipment efficiently and perform inventory checks.
- Assist in solving guest complaints promptly and create strong, positive customer relations.
- Willingly assist resort guests and owners; be knowledgeable of resort operations.

Qualifications- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least 18 months of full‑time work experience directly related to floor care.
- Experience with stripping or waxing floors is preferred.
- Carpet cleaning experience is required.
- Must receive thorough training and trainer approval before working alone.
- Must be well versed in chemical handling and use.
Hourly rate ranges from $9.00 to $17.00, depending on skills, qualifications, and experience.
Physical RequirementsRequires frequent standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting (up to 25lb), bending, reaching, occasional ascents/descents, and repetitive motions. Employees with disabilities may receive reasonable accommodations.
