Position Title Facility Maintenance Technician Position Summary The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overall upkeep of facilities, buildings, equipment, and surrounding property to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. This position performs preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, inspections, and general facility support while maintaining compliance with company safety standards and applicable regulations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, facilities, equipment, and infrastructure.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and general facility systems.
Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and complete assigned maintenance schedules.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests, emergency repairs, and operational issues.
Maintain grounds, walkways, parking areas, and exterior facilities as assigned.
Operate hand tools, power tools, equipment, and company vehicles safely and effectively.
Assist with snow removal, seasonal preparation, and weather-related facility maintenance as needed.
Install, repair, and replace fixtures, equipment, doors, locks, lighting, signage, and other facility components.
Ensure facilities remain clean, organized, safe, and operational at all times.
Monitor facility conditions and report safety hazards, maintenance concerns, and repair needs to management.
Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies, parts, tools, and equipment.
Complete maintenance logs, work orders, inspections, and required documentation accurately and timely.
Assist with special projects, event setup/breakdown, and operational support as needed.
Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors when necessary.
Follow all company policies, safety procedures, OSHA standards, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
Participate in emergency response procedures and support operational continuity during emergencies or severe weather events.
Qualifications Previous facility maintenance, building maintenance, construction, mechanical, or related experience preferred.
Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
Ability to safely operate maintenance equipment and tools.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record preferred.
Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly.
Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, bend, kneel, crouch, and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, snow, wind, and rain.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as operationally required.
