Janitors​/Arena Event Cleaners​/Stadium​/General Cleaner

THE BURKS COMPANIES, INC. (TBC) is looking to hire a General Cleaner (GC) as a part‑time position. The role requires energetic, reliable service, and a get‑it‑done attitude. The General Cleaners are the core of the company and are responsible for periodic cleaning tasks in accordance with cleaning schedules and standard operating procedures (SOP) that meet site and contract specifications. The General Cleaner maintains walkways, restrooms, break room areas, windows, entrances, waste receptacles and other assigned areas of the facilities.

Hourly pay: $14.50 - $15.00 per hour.
Part‑time schedule: 5.0 hours per day.

You will begin each day performing general cleaning duties, including break rooms/kitchenettes, vacuuming/mopping floors, restrooms, stairs, walkways, escalators, elevators, and other assigned areas. You must keep the janitor closet neat and orderly, maintain equipment in good working order, check supplies, equipment, and chemicals, and stock materials and supplies to maintain required inventory levels. You will be reminded to comply with all safety, security, quality standards, and procedures established by TBC, our client, and regulatory authorities (OSHA).

• 18 years old or older.
• Completion of a High School Diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
• Ability to listen and follow directions.
• Previous cleaning experience is a plus but training will be provided.
• Must be able to follow safety policies and procedures.

• Frequent standing, walking, climbing stairs, bending, and squatting.
• Frequent sitting at a desk/computer for long periods.
• Frequent light lifting of less than 40 pounds.
