Floor Care Specialist

Responsible for the care of carpet, marble and hard surface floors to ensure the best possible appearance and maintenance at all times.

Job Focus:

• Sweep, mop and polish hard floor surfaces throughout all public areas
• Strip and wax all VCT floors throughout the public areas
• Shampoo, extract and/or spot clean all public area carpets
• Maintain all floors for the best possible appearance and to prolong the life of surfaces
• Knowledge on how to clean and maintain grout in all flooring

Desired

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in hospitality industry in a floor care position
• Understanding how, to cut and polish marble, and other natural stones
• Strip and wax procedures
• Able to operate heavy equipment to include but not limited to: high power pressure washers, extraction machines, carpet shampooers, upholstery machines, floor machines, as well as walk behind and industrial ride on machines
• Understanding of chemicals, their functions, proper dilution ratios etc
• Must have knowledge of and compliance with departmental policies, services, procedures and standards
• Ability to operate scissor lift is a plus
• Must be 21 years of age or older
