Conversion Technician

Job Summary

The Full‑Time Conversion Technician is responsible for supporting and managing the various conversions for the stadium for all events, including installation and removal of synthetic turf, retractable seating, stage builds, and furniture movement. The role cross‑functions to support the stadium for all event set‑ups and breakdowns of all facets of the facility. Direct support to the Operations Managers is required, including timekeeping, documentation support, site operational planning and development, and asset inventory control for all FF&E assets.

• Assist with the overall conversion of the stadium from event to event and responsible for set‑up and tear‑down tasks in relation to each stadium event.
• Responsible for the set‑up and tear‑down of all stadium‑owned or leased furniture, fixtures and equipment, including tables, chairs, linens, small risers, stanchions, signage, barricades, K‑rail, etc.
• Assist in the installation, removal and maintenance of the synthetic turf for stadium events.
• Assist in the installation, removal and maintenance of the SEDA seating system for stadium events.
• Assist in the installation, removal and maintenance of the Stageright decking system for stadium events.
• Operate stadium‑owned or leased machinery and equipment to complete all tasks safely, while following proper safety procedures.
• Assist in the maintenance and management of equipment inventory and the proper storage of conversion equipment, tools, and supplies to ensure all equipment is accounted for and kept in good working condition.
• Responsible for repair and maintenance of all stadium‑owned seating.
• Support the daily operations of the stadium’s loading dock, including sending and receiving deliveries, tracking stadium packages through Notify software, and booking delivery appointments.
• Train PT laborers in carrying out all conversion tasks and utilizing operational equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1‑2 years of related work experience.
• Ability to work overnight hours, weekends, overtime, and holidays.
• Ability to understand verbal and written instructions in English.
• Ability to understand and follow directions and perform job functions under limited supervision.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds on a frequent basis.
• Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, kneel, climb, grasp, stretch, stoop, and reach above the head for up to 8 hours at a time.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to work safely and complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Ability to work in a warm or cold environment.
• Ability to work under pressure, in time‑sensitive operations, in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to work in a moderate to very loud noise environment.
• Ability to work with others in a group or team.
• Ability to wear common protective or safety equipment.
• Compliance with attendance rules and availability to work on a regular basis.
• Strong leadership and written/oral communication qualities.
• Prior conversion experience preferred.
• Forklift operation experience preferred.
