Position Summary
The Furniture Repair Technician 1 repairs, restores, and inspects merchandise that has been damaged or has manufacturer defects. The technician works inside the shop or on the dock ensuring outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Identify repairs needed and follow standard operating procedures to perform them.
- Repair upholstery/leather products, including stitching, panel replacement, mechanism, frame repair, button replacement and other components.
- Repair wood/case goods, including burn‑ins, color matching, panel replacements, adjustment of drawers, doors, glides and other components.
- Achieve 80% restock to first quality in the station.
- Determine proper quality disposition of furniture after inspection.
- Operate radio frequency equipment and maintain compliance with OSHA standards.
- Maintain a clean work area, free from debris on the warehouse floor.
- Use proper lifting techniques.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum 1–2 years experience working with upholstery, fabrics, wood furniture, leather and veneer finishes.
- Able to use necessary tools and equipment.
- Strong working knowledge of leather repairs, wood repairs including scratches, dents and split wood.
- Equivalents of education and experience considered.

Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Compensation and Benefits- Pay range: $20.50 – $26.60 per hour.
- Overtime pay available for eligible non‑exempt Team Members.
