Position OverviewAt the direction of the Grounds Supervisor, the major purpose of this position is to ensure that all athletic fields, turfs, outside courts, courses, tracks and surrounding athletic areas are clean, healthy and game/event ready on a daily basis by working on sprinkler systems, landscaping and trash removal. Due to the nature of athletics and the event industry, this position works a variable work week schedule that may include weekends, evenings and holidays.
Responsibilities- Ensure all athletic fields, turfs, outdoor courts, courses, tracks and surrounding athletic areas are cleaned, healthy, and game/event ready daily by maintaining sprinkler systems, landscaping, and trash removal.
- Work a variable schedule that may include weekends, evenings and holidays.
- Two years of experience performing grounds maintenance work using a variety of tools and techniques; OR one year of experience as a Grounds Maintenance Worker III in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
Grade 24, Step 1, salary $43,117.20 (CBU: A, E,
F). In accordance with Nevada Administrative Code (NAC) 284.170, initial appointments to classified positions typically begin at Step 1 of the assigned grade.
