Job Description
The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Grounds Maintenance Worker 4.
ROLE of the POSITION
At the direction of the Grounds Supervisor, the major purpose of this position is to ensure that all athletic fields, turfs, outside courts, courses, tracks and surrounding athletic areas are clean, healthy and game/event ready on a daily basis by working on sprinkler systems, landscaping and trash removal.
Due to the nature of athletics and the event industry, this position works a variable work week shedule that may include weekends, evenings and holidays.

Two years of experience performing grounds maintenance work using a variety of tools and techniques; OR one year of experience as a Grounds Maintenance Worker III in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.

Grade 24, Step 1, salary $ 43,117.20 (CBU: A, E,
F)
In accordance with Nevada Administrative Code (NAC) 284.170, initial appointments to classified positions typically begin at Step 1 of the assigned grade. A "Step" refers to the specific rate of pay within a grade, as determined by the Division of Human Resources.
