Job Overview

Konami Gaming Field Service Technician – Las Vegas, NV (Full‑time, $21‑$27/hour). Responsible for installation, repair, preventive maintenance and conversion of approved KGI gaming products, providing on‑site training and customer support.

Responsibilities

Installation and Repair

  • Deliver high‑level service activity (installations, service calls, conversions, PMs, removals) within the assigned territory.
  • Support lead technician on large game/multi‑tech activities.
  • Resolve semi‑complex and routine customer issues efficiently.
  • Participate in major product installations and conversions for 25+ games.
  • Assist in on‑the‑job training for all Konami products.
  • Set up KGI products for trade shows and special projects.
  • Escalate customer issues that cannot be resolved within SLA definitions.
  • Travel to other territories to lead or support service activities.
  • Load and secure equipment on trucks, and unload equipment for delivery or installation.
  • Perform casino site inspections and courtesy checks.
  • Maintain assigned vehicle per inspection, maintenance and cleaning requirements.
  • Participate in new product reviews, rollouts and pre‑site evaluations.
  • Complete service tickets accurately and on time.

Recordkeeping

  • Provide timely and accurate accounting of service tickets using mobile and manual systems.
  • Track part usage and maintain accurate warehouse inventory.
  • Participate in periodic inventory counts.

Customer Service

  • Provide on‑site training to KGI customers on platform options and configuration.
  • Maintain a positive KGI image through exceptional service.
  • Support casino openings and expansions.
  • Collect and provide feedback on serviceability of existing products.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to mid‑management.

Support Activities

  • Assist in cycle counts, year‑end stock takes and part discrepancies.
  • Install system hardware, player tracking assemblies and other equipment.
  • Provide technical refresher and training to other Konami techs or personnel.
  • Conduct vehicle inspection, maintenance and cleaning.
  • Assist in RMA room activities (unpacking, cleaning, repairing, packaging parts).
  • Remove game components from returned games when required.
  • Perform OEM bracket and system installations for game sale orders.
  • Participate in showroom game inspections, installations, removals, conversions, repairs, relocations and PM.
  • Deliver customer parts and equipment as needed.
  • Assist with truck loading or unloading of Konami equipment.
  • Drive and deliver games when required on a Konami‑provided vehicle.
  • Support the GSS desk when needed.
  • Verify part numbers for Konami personnel and customers.
  • Assist in final game build inspections and part orders.
  • Help create Konami technical documents.
  • Participate in sales order mock‑ups for new game and product rollouts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High travel requirement – up to 75% of work time, with flexibility for short notice travel.
  • Must hold a clean driver’s license and vehicle for frequent travel.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (75+ lbs); comply with safety policies.
  • Gaming Control Board approval and other jurisdictional licensing as required.
  • Full‑time commitment (40+ hours per week, with on‑call, overtime, evenings, weekends, holidays).
  • Technical field experience or equivalent education; certification in a gaming‑related field preferred.
  • 2–5 years of software or hardware troubleshooting experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and PC knowledge; strong written and verbal communication in English.
  • Advanced troubleshooting of electronics and electro‑mechanical assemblies.
  • Strong customer service skills (listening, empathy, tone management).
  • Knowledge of Konami gaming products, engineering infrastructure, and compliance requirements.
  • Physical demands: heavy lifting, climbing, bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling up to 400 lbs; standing, walking, crouching, reaching for extended periods; exposure to noise, temperature, vibration, crowds, and smoke.
  • Valid driver’s license; ability to vehicle operate a class C motor vehicle.
  • Must obtain and retain gaming licensure.
