Position summary:
The Porter cleans vacant units in preparation for marketing and occupancy and maintains property common areas, office, and model units. The Porter reports to the Resident Manager and Property Manager and works closely with maintenance staff.
- Clean the property business office, restrooms, laundry rooms, model apartments, and common areas on a defined schedule.
- Clean vacant apartment units for showing and occupancy.
- Maintain the property landscape and exterior image, including driveways, parking lots, curbs, dumpster areas, exterior hallways, and other public areas.
- Provide world‑class customer service by addressing residents’ concerns and maintenance needs in a friendly and professional manner.
- Report maintenance problems to the supervisor.
- Assist with inventory control.
- Perform job duties using safety guidelines and report obstacles.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of safe use of cleaning agents and equipment.
- Experience cleaning multifamily residential or commercial buildings preferred.
- Ability to follow directions and handle projects.
- Ability to complete tasks on time.
- Ability to follow all Cushman & Wakefield safety policies and procedures.
High School Diploma, GED, Trade, Technical, or Vocational school. Some related experience preferred.
Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office environment and requires use of standard office equipment. The role routinely requires travel between properties in varying weather conditions.
Physical DemandsThe job may require standing and walking for extended periods, ascending and descending staircases, ladders, or step stools, and traveling outside. The employee may need to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 25 pounds. Approximately 85% of the time may involve remaining stationary (sit or stand). Regular operation of office machinery is required.
Benefits & CompensationCompensation: $15.73 – $18.50 per hour. Benefits may include health, vision, dental insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance, and paid/unpaid time off.
