MISSION:
To lead and elevate the Facilities team in delivering excellent, consistent, and servant-hearted care of the church campus — creating clean, safe, beautiful, and fully prepared spaces that support life-changing encounters with God. Model ownership, excellence, and Christ-like leadership while mentoring part-time staff, volunteers, and community service workers, ensuring high standards, clear communication, pro-active mindset, and joyful teamwork.
This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, with responsibility for leading assigned shifts. Flexibility is required for early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events to meet ministry needs. The hourly wage range is $20-$23.OUTCOMES:
1. Within 30 days:
Complete orientation and demonstrate full competency in all daily custodial rhythms, opening/closing procedures, safety/security protocols, and room setup standards.
Begin leading assigned shifts under supervision, providing clear direction to Facilities Tech I staff, Helpers, and community service workers.
Establish strong working relationships with Facilities Coordinator, Tech I team members, regular volunteers/helpers, and community service workers.
2. Within 60 days:
Independently lead full shifts as the designated Shift Lead — following the Task Board/Click Up/Planning Center assignments and helping the rest of the team setting priorities, monitoring progress, and ensuring quality completion when the Facilities Coordinator is not on campus.
Consistently execute and oversee high-quality room setups/teardowns for weekend services, midweek events, and special programs.
Provide real-time coaching, feedback, and encouragement to part-time staff, helpers, volunteers, and community service workers.
Conduct effective end-of-shift walkthroughs to verify readiness and cleanliness.
3. Within 90 days:
Fully own and lead shifts with confidence, minimal oversight, and proactive problem-solving.
Train and onboard new Facilities Tech I staff and Facilities Helpers effectively.
Proactively identify facility needs, supply issues, equipment concerns, or process improvements and communicate them clearly to the Facilities recognized as a dependable leader who maintains a positive, values-aligned team culture even during high-pressure events.
Community Service Orientation and management as needed.
Other tasks as needed.

Team Development — Train, direct, and support Facilities Tech I staff, Facilities Helpers, and Community Service workers.
Quality Assurance — Conduct walkthroughs and inspections to ensure spaces meet cleanliness, safety, and readiness standards.
Communication & Responsiveness — Clearly communicate with team members, respond promptly to urgent needs, and escalate issues appropriately to Facilities Coordinator.
Event Execution — Lead complex room setups and teardowns for large services, special events, and multi-space programs with precision and calm.
Safety & Stewardship — Enforce safety protocols, proper chemical/equipment use, and careful stewardship of all resources.
